The first two Network publications, written by students working in the Materials group, have appeared in Soft Matter and Polymer Chemistry, journals run by the Royal Society of Chemistry.
Although silicone foams are used as ophthalmic biomaterials, they are usually hydrophobic. 20/20 has developed a method to make silicones foams that incorporate hydrophilic domains. (F refers to small domains of poly[ethylene glycol] that will be examined as bioactive delivery depots.)

Spring 2010 Conference: March 31st - April 1st

The 20/20 Spring conference is scheduled for March 31st and April 1st, at the Art Gallery of Hamilton.

All 20/20 members, including private sector partners, board members, network investigators, and students are invited to attend and can RSVP by completing the following survey.

The conference will include two half days of presentations, a Board meeting, and a group dinner on March 31st.

Peter George (President of McMaster University, Honourable Gary Goodyear, (Minister of State (Science and Technology)), Heather Sheardown (Scientific Director of 20/20), Suzanne Fortier (President of NSERC) and David Sweet (MP for Ancaster, Dundas, Flamborough, Westdale).
